Liverpool FC confirmed at their website that Glen Johnson will move to the Merseyside outfit. It's not known what bid Portsmouth accepted from Liverpool (they have dues to the Reds from the transfer of Peter Crouch). If it's turned out to be 17 million pounds, Johnson is a overpriced player in my eyes. This questions the future of Arbeloa, who is a target of Real Madrid. I think Arbeloa is as good as Johnson, but hopefully the new arrival will prove me wrong. The Reds don't need average players, but some high class ones. I saw Dossena yesterday in his match with Italy vs Brazil. It was not bad, but he is no replacement for Riise. We will se what the transfer carousel will bring this summer and which players will be sold. There are questions about Reina, Mascherano and Alonso. If these two players will leave, then Gerrard and Torres will be the heartbeat of the team. Two players out of eleven - by far not enough...
